WTW posts 70% income rise in Q3

Global broker Willis Towers Watson (WTW) lifted its third-quarter net income by 70% to $US75 million ($108.62 million) as each of its four core business segments demonstrated healthy growth in revenue.

The group says it has continued to see a modest improvement with pricing in the market.

“I am pleased with our third-quarter results,” CEO John Haley said. “We will have a strong finish to the year and remain confident in our ability to continue delivering profitable growth.”

In July, WTW said the mid-year renewal season had witnessed tangible pricing momentum, with most territories and classes seeing price increases and some tightening in terms and conditions.
