Willis Towers Watson’s first-quarter net income increased 27% to $US447 million ($596 million).

The investment, risk and reinsurance business recorded revenue of $US539 million ($718.68 million), up 10%.

Reinsurance operations grew on strong renewals and new business in North America, the company says.
