Willis boosts Asia focus

Willis International is following the shift in economic power towards Asia and the Middle East with the creation of three new regional business units; Australasia, Asia, and the Middle East and Africa.

New Zealander Roger Wilkinson, who at present heads up the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa division, will head up the Australasian division from October 1.

Willis International CEO Tim Wright says Mr Wilkinson has “been instrumental in tripling the size of our Asia business over the past seven years”.

Asia will be led by current continental Europe chief Adam Garrard, who will relocate from London to Singapore on September 1 to oversee 1000 associates in 42 offices across 11 countries.

Scott Pickering will be regional leader of the Middle East and Africa.
