UK regulator appoints new chairman
Lord Adair Turner has been named the next Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK’s peak financial services regulator.
The chairman’s role is a five-year appointment. Lord Turner will replace Sir Callum McCarthy in September.
Lord Turner has an extensive background in business and has served on a number of government bodies.
