The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), a UK group supporting professional standards, has created a President’s Forum to explore customer needs not currently being met by the industry.

President and Aon UK CEO Julie Page will chair the forum, with other members including AIG UK CEO Anthony Baldwin, also President of the Insurance Institute of London, Pool Re CEO Julian Enoizi and CII CEO Sian Fisher.

The forum will explore new and emerging risks and discuss consumer and SME needs, with the aim of producing guidance and key actions for development.

“For many consumers and SMEs the pace of change is mounting and resulting in more risk exposure from their day-to-day activities,” Ms Fisher said.

“It is vital we look at ways to adapt, evolve and innovate our products and services in order to maintain the importance and relevance of insurance to the customers it serves.”
