Financial consultancy Deloitte is to review the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA).

The review, which follows the association’s merger with the Institute of Insurance Brokers last November, will include a survey of more than 2000 regulated member firms.

Deloitte says the review will allow BIBA to envision what a modern trade body should look like.

“The insurance industry is going through a period of unprecedented change, yet the role of the broker in the value chain remains as critical as ever,” insurance partner Ian Clark said.

“The review will ensure BIBA is well placed to help the industry meet these challenges.”

A recent broker survey commissioned by BIBA found 95% of its members are satisfied with the association.
