Typhoon Jangmi shakes up Taiwan
AIR Worldwide Corporation has estimated insured losses from Typhoon Jangmi at between $US40-120 million ($51-152 million) after the storm rocked parts of Taiwan.
However the US-based risk modelling company says losses from storm damage were not as extensive as predicted.
The typhoon made landfall in north-eastern Taiwan as a category three storm on September 28 but soon weakened.
