Talanx to add more female managers
Talanx Group intends to fill half of all vacant management positions with female employees and candidates, and says it has also undertaken to become “an even more attractive employer for persons with different abilities”.
Talanx is rolling out a worldwide strategy as it commits to “strategically anchoring” Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) within its organisation.
"Diversity enriches and connects us. It enables us to take better decisions and achieve more effective results,” Talanx CEO Torsten Leue said.
“We want to build on this strength and further consolidate our good level of performance and efficiency."
Talanx outlined six strategic principles: Equal opportunities, fairness and respect; Zero-tolerance of discrimination; Action on any suspicion of bullying, harassment and discrimination; Recognising those who take action; Employee training; and publication of central metrics.
In coming months, Talanx will implement guidelines on inclusive language in various divisions, saying DE&I plays a major integral part in its commercial success, and that its performance capability and power of innovation can be attributed “in large measure to the diversity of its employees as well as a corporate culture that strengthens diversity”.
Talanx Director Christopher Lohmann says diversity improves collaboration and strengthens community.
“Not only can employees feel safe and appreciated with their various career paths and identity markers, they can also bring their different perspectives to their work environment and their tasks," he said.
