Singapore has a super boom

Singapore’s Life Insurance Association is full of praise for the Government’s liberalisation of the state pension system. And no wonder. Total new business life premiums have grown over the past year by 106% to about $880 million.

Single premium sales rose 98%. Singapore’s mandatory pension scheme takes 16% of each citizen’s earnings and allows the money to be used for property investments, mutual funds and insurance products.
