Regional chief to leave AIG

President and CEO of AIG Asia-Pacific Jose Hernandez will leave the insurer as part of a major management reshuffle.

The regional CEO and president roles for the Americas, Europe the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific have been consolidated into one position: CEO of Regional Management and Operations, held by Seraina Maag.

A number of other management changes have been made to increase efficiency and “ensure end-to-end accountability”, according to President and CEO Peter Hancock.

“Several of our senior leaders will depart the company,” he said. “I am grateful for their years of distinguished service. Their leadership has been invaluable in positioning AIG for long-term growth and sustainable profitability.”
