Thought you’d heard it all in product liability insurance? Think again – a Vietnamese chicken retailer has obtained bird flu insurance on 5000 chickens.

International reports say Nguyen Diem of Danang Export Import Processing Corporation will offer people more than $8000 if they catch bird flu from his chickens.

A new wave of bird flu outbreaks struck Vietnam at the end of last year.
