French reinsurer Scor has signed up to join inreon, the independent internet-based reinsurance exchange. The platform was launched last December by Swiss Re, Munich Re, Internet Capital Group and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). Inreon is intended to create a collaborative environment for insurers, reinsurers and brokers, enabling buyers to place risks with the reinsurance companies that participate in inreon online.
