Wesfarmers-owned broker OAMPS UK has split its petrochemical business into retail and wholesale divisions as part of a corporate reorganisation.

OAMPS UK MD David Barrett says the aim is to have “clear segmentation between the two to ensure we can grow both channels of distribution aggressively with separate strategies”.

The restructure follows a review of the division which found that more resources and effort are required to “innovate new products and deliver them to the market more quickly than we have done in the past”.

Mr Barrett says Adam Shefras will remain as petrochemical Divisional Director, but announced the appointment of Steve Thornett as Retail Director for the petrochemical unit, and Ros Bayley as Wholesale Director for the division.
