Aon founder Patrick Ryan is turning back the clock on his illustrious career, announcing a new venture that will see the septuagenarian back in the insurance game.

The creation of Ryan Strategy Group marks his return to insurance, 18 months after stepping down as executive chairman of Aon, the company he founded in 1982 when Ryan Insurance Group merged with Combined International Corporation.

Mr Ryan will pitch his services to the whole insurance marketplace, including carriers and large and small brokers. He is expected to take on clients starting April.
