Florida’s legislature has moved quickly to head off mould claims similar to those which have crippled the insurance industry in Texas. The state has decided to cap the mould claims homeowners can make against their insurance companies at $US10,000 ($AU15,000). Some insurers are already offering supplements of $US25,000 and $US50,000 – at an extra premium of about $US250.
