Marsh & McLennan settling starts
About 70,000 clients of Marsh & McLennan in the US have signed up for a piece of the $US850 million compensation fund the group has set up as part of its settlement with New York regulators.
Clients had until September 20 to participate in the settlement and sign a release agreeing not to sue the company over allegations of bid-rigging. More than 90% of the group’s clients took up the option, releasing it from any further claims from these clients.
