Marsh has formed a global claims practice to capture its claims expertise and experience from around the world.

The practice will be headed by London-based David Pigot, with the aim of helping clients manage their claims process more effectively.

“Ultimately, an efficient and accurate claims recovery process can help clients avoid exorbitant costs and additional risks,” Mr Pigot said.

A spokesman for Marsh Australia says the move will enable the local office to tap into the expertise of the group’s North American operations more easily, although claims here will still be handled in Australia.

She says bringing the North American unit more closely in line with other operations internationally will enable more seamless sharing of expertise and knowledge.
