Marsh broker investigated by grand jury
A New York grand jury is investigating whether a former top insurance broker at Marsh participated in bid-rigging for corporate clients, according to the Wall Street Journal.
It says the grand jury, empanelled by New York Attorney-General Eliot Spitzer, will examine the role played by former Marsh broker William Gilman in activities undertaken during his position at the company.
The same grand jury will also examine the activities of other former Marsh brokers as well as managers at some insurance companies.
