Lloyd’s appoints new Deputy Chairman
While it can’t seem to make up its mind about a successor to former CEO Nick Prettejohn, Lloyd’s has at least appointed a new deputy to Chairman Lord Peter Levene. He’s Ewen Gilmour, the CEO of Chaucer Syndicates, who has replaced Benfield Chairman John Coldman.
Lloyd’s also re-appointed Bronek Masojada, the CEO of Hiscox, as another Deputy Chairman.
Lord Levene was re-appointed as Chairman. He said Mr Gilmour “brings to the role of Deputy Chairman an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Lloyd’s market and experience of the wider financial services sector”.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to buzz around the market about a successor to Nick Prettejohn, who resigned in October. Various names have been put forward, but there has been no indication from the board that it is even near a choice.
