Lloyd's appoints Market Transformation Director

Lloyd’s has appointed Bob James to the role of Market Transformation Director to manage engagement and drive uptake of the Future at Lloyd’s products and services.

Mr James, who begins in mid-June and will report to COO Jennifer Rigby, is tasked with keeping the market up to date with progress, ensuring “the right people get involved at the right time” and making it simple to understand and adopt the products Lloyd’s delivers as it increases digitalisation.

After three decades in insurance, Mr James was most recently Executive VP at Amynta Group, responsible for the Managing General Agent segment. He has held various roles at Allstate, MetLife, AIG, CNA and QBE, including leading major transformation programs.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to join Lloyd’s at an exciting time and play my part in delivering on the digitalisation of the market,” Mr James said. “We will make it even easier to do business with Lloyd’s and provide customers with [the] most responsive insurance solutions anywhere in the world.”
