Lloyd’s recruits new HR leader

Lloyd’s has appointed Nathan Adams as chief people officer, effective from early next year.

Mr Adams, who has more than 20 years’ experience as a human resources and transformation leader, joins from insurer Aviva, where he held senior roles. He was previously at Barclays and Arcadia Group.

He will report to CEO John Neal and become a member of the executive committee.

“Nathan is a strong leader with outstanding experience driving the people agenda in large organisations,” Mr Neal said. “He will be a great addition to the team as we continue to focus on promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture across Lloyd’s.”

Mr Adams takes over from Sara Gomez, who will retire at the end of the year. Ms Gomez joined the marketplace in July 2021 and became chief people officer the following year.
