New York’s state’s motor vehicle insurance reforms, detailed in the April edition of Insurance & Risk Professional, remain tied up in court by plaintiff lawyers. The reforms to the no-fault scheme, announced last year, would speed up claims and cut down on fraud. The state estimates it would save $2 billion a year. We’ll keep you posted on progress.
