Teen pop icon Britney Spears is suing eight insurers – QBE among them – after they refused her claim over losses incurred when she called off a concert tour because she had hurt her knee.

Ms Spears wants to recover about $US10 million in losses after paying a $US1.3 million premium, but the insurers say she failed to disclose she had minor knee surgery five years ago.

The primary insurers of the policy are Liberty, QBE, and Axa.
