JLT fees and commission income up 9%
International brokerage Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) recorded a 9% increase in fees and commissions in the first half, the company revealed last week.
JLT Group banked £266.2 million ($565.1 million) in fees and commissions during the period, against £244.7 million ($519.4 million) last year.
The JLT Risk & Insurance division contributed most of that income with earnings of £223.3 million ($472 million).
Overall net profit fell 39% to £37.9 million ($80.1 million), which the company attributed to a net exceptional gain from last year’s merger of JLT associate company Siaci with French broker Saint Honore.
