Insurance Hall of Fame candidates named

Candidates for next year’s selection to the International Insurance Society Hall of Fame have been announced.

Three Americans – AIG President and CEO Robert Benmosche, Principal Financial Group Chairman Barry Griswell and ILS Capital Management Chairman and CEO Donald Kramer – are among the candidates, along with South African heart surgeon Marius Barnard (who invented critical illness insurance) and Korean Re CEO Jong-won Park.

The winner will join more than 100 industry luminaries to receive the honour, including US founding father Benjamin Franklin and German statesman Otto Von Bismarck.

Steadfast Chairman and former QBE CEO Frank O’Halloran was inducted into the Hall of Fame two years ago.

A winner will be announced at the society’s annual seminar in Seoul in June.
