Hogan returns to AIG as global consumer CEO

AIG has rehired former executive Kevin Hogan to be CEO of its expanded Global Consumer Insurance business.

Mr Hogan had a 24-year career at AIG before taking his most recent position, as Zurich Global Life CEO. He is expected to formally rejoin AIG in early October.

The US insurer has also announced its global life cover manufacturing operation will become part of the Global Consumer Insurance arm.

“Putting the manufacturing of these critical products under the same oversight is an important step in our work to become truly one AIG,” President and CEO Robert Benmosche said.

Mr Hogan began his AIG career in 1984 with American International Underwriters (AIU) in New York. He later worked in Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore, in roles including AIU chief operating officer and AIG senior life division executive for China and Taiwan.
