HDI creates energy risk ‘one-stop shop’
HDI Global has established an energy unit after client feedback indicated more support is needed in dealing with rapid transformation.
The team will share knowledge and practices globally to offer “the best possible services and insurance solutions fast”. Workers in commercial and specialty lines, the claims department and HDI Risk Consulting will all be involved.
Clients and broker partners with energy transition risks will benefit from having one point of contact, according to HDI.
Executive board member Dirk Horing says the unit will meet client needs “regardless of the line of business in which a certain risk would be covered.
“Our goal is to offer a one-stop shop for clients being fully engaged in the energy transition, in order to be their preferred partner in transformation and their contact of choice if they need support regarding the green transformation of the energy sector.”
The energy unit will be led by Franz Adamczyk, previously global risk property chief.
He says many industries have concerns with energy transformation, including maintaining adequate insurance when adapting to new technologies or innovating.
