Happiness is rare in UK insurance

A study carried out by a British financial services recruitment specialist has revealed that about 33% of the British insurance industry would leave their jobs if they could. And the survey by Joslin Rowe also found that 45% rated their salaries as “average”.

One of the biggest issues to emerge is that employees still believe the industry isn’t investing enough in its staff or in graduates, with only 26% of respondents aware of graduate schemes at their firm. And 60% said the industry is not doing enough to attract graduates and other highly skilled people to the industry.

But as human nature would have it, 67% believe their long-term future is in insurance.
