Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has introduced new flood modelling technology in Thailand and may extend the software throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The company says the model enables clients to better manage risk exposure in Thailand’s flood-prone Chao Phraya region.

It follows similar models developed by Guy Carpenter in Europe.

MD James Nash says the product is “a significant step” towards meeting client demand for new methods of cat risk management in the region.
