Former AIG president and CEO Martin Sullivan has become Chairman of global reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford (CGSC).

Mr Sullivan, also a former deputy chairman of Willis Group, joined CGSC in October last year as non-executive chairman of its US operations.

He replaces Frank Witthun, who has stepped down after eight years but will consult to the group.
