Global broker Gallagher is upbeat after reporting a strong set of financial results for last year.

Overall reported net earnings increased to $US675.9 million ($934 million) from $US516.9 million ($714 million) in 2017.

Combined net earnings from the brokerage and risk management arms grew to $US643.6 million ($890 million) from $US470.4 million ($650.2 million).

“We have excellent momentum coming into [this year], the broker says.

“The insurance rate environment and exposure growth continue to be a slight revenue tailwind for Gallagher in most geographies.”
