Gallagher appoints Australian to run Asia hub

Arthur J Gallagher has set up an Asian hub and moved Australian executive Dick Heath from Sydney to Singapore to run it.

Mr Heath, who joined Arthur J Gallagher Australia in February last year as national practice leader – specialty lines, replaces Freddie Lim as MD Singapore.

He joins a 15-strong team focused on retail marine cargo and trade credit, wholesale property and energy, and reinsurance.

He will be responsible for expanding the Singapore business and developing investment opportunities across Asia.

Mr Heath will also maintain his involvement in Australia, as Head of FinPro Asia-Pacific.

“Asia represents a strong business development opportunity for the international divisions of Arthur J Gallagher and our experts in Singapore have created a first-class platform for further expansion,” Chairman Asia-Pacific John Hastings-Bass said.

Mr Heath’s specialty line expertise will ensure the company maximises its potential, he says.
