Former Lloyd’s chief to guide loss adjuster

Global loss adjuster Cunningham Lindsey has appointed former Lloyd’s CEO Richard Ward as Executive Chairman of the board, effective from June 9.

“Cunningham Lindsey is the global market leader in the claims management industry, and I’m thrilled to join the management team in providing the leading solutions for our clients,” said Dr Ward, who is currently Chairman of UK insurer Brit.

He served as CEO of Lloyd’s from 2006 to 2013, and prior to that was CEO and chairman at the International Petroleum Exchange – rebranded as ICE Futures.

In 2009, Dr Ward was a member of the Insurance Industry Working Group led by UK Chancellor Alistair Darling.

Cunningham Lindsey has also appointed Jane Tutoki as CEO from June 9. She was previously global head of claims operations at AIG.

Philippe Bes, the President and CEO of Cunningham Lindsey, will retire on August 31.
