Former broker chief consults to united BIBA

Former UK Institute of Insurance Brokers CEO Barbara Bradshaw has taken a consultancy role at the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA).

It follows the full integration of the institute into BIBA after their 2011 merger, and a BIBA strategic review.

Ms Bradshaw will focus on face-to-face member engagement and contribute to the smaller brokers’ advisory board.

She joined the BIBA board in 2011 to integrate her institute’s membership and develop a group to focus on issues affecting smaller companies.

Her initial contract was for a year, but she has now decided to remain with BIBA.

“The time is now right for me to take a consultancy role, but I will still be playing a key role in meeting members face to face and learning about their issues,” Ms Bradshaw said.

“I am confident that the smaller brokers’ advisory board, and its two main board members, will be successful in taking the lead on small member issues.”
