US-based mutual insurer FM Global has reshuffled its executive management team, with Thomas Lawson to take over from Shivan Subramaniam when he retires from the executive after 40 years with the group.

Mr Lawson will become President on August 1 and CEO on January 1, when Mr Subramaniam steps down. Executive VP Jonathan Hall will become COO next month.

As President Mr Lawson will be responsible for FM Global’s strategic and operational direction.

Mr Subramaniam will remain Chairman. He was appointed President and CEO in 1999.
