Ebix Consulting for Life & Annuity Insurance has been honoured at the Association for Co-operative Operations Research and Development (ACORD) awards.

ACORD is a global non-profit group that develops electronic standards, standardised forms and tools for the insurance and related industries.

The awards program at the association’s conference in Florida recognised outstanding achievement in ACORD implementation.

Ebix Senior Business Analyst Pam Simonds won the leadership award for her consistent commitment to the ACORD organisation, and the group’s VTXml Product Suite, which facilitates ACORD transactions, won the “case study” award.

VTXml is the most widely used tool for creation and publication of insurance product definitions using industry standards such as ACORD’s Product Profile for Annuities and Product Profile for Life data models.

“Ebix Consulting’s continued leadership, valuable participation and implementation of the latest ACORD standard demonstrates its dedication and commitment to streamlining and simplifying this industry,” ACORD Director of Life and Annuity Implementations Sandy Hampel said.

Other ACORD leadership award winners were Agencyport Software, Aon, Applied Rating, Applied Systems, CNO Financial Group, Guardian Life, IVANS Insurance Solutions, Swiss Re, The Standard, Unum, Vertafore, Willis, Xchanging and XL Catlin.

Global citizen awards went to Aon, Applied Systems and Willis.
