Cyber risks dominate US D&O fears
About 80% of US directors’ and officers’ policyholders rank cyber-related risks as their leading concern, a Willis Towers Watson survey shows.
Claims by employees rank second at 55%, followed by regulatory and enforcement risk on 48% and claims by investors at 30%.
“Respondents cited cyber risks as the most concerning risk and, given the severe impact an incident can have on an organisation, the stakes are high,” Willis Towers Watson says.
“Today’s cyber-security and privacy threats are dynamic and more complex than ever, with millions of dollars, customer loyalty and reputation potentially in jeopardy with every incident.”
The results draw on responses from 77 executives across industries including financial, energy and utilities, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail.
