Crawford Asia-Pacific earnings fall

Earnings for loss adjuster Crawford & Co grew 62% for the half-year to June 30 following an improved performance from the US, Canada and Latin America, CEO Jeffrey Bowman says.

Its $US26.75 million ($29.81 million) profit was made on total revenue of $US633.25 million ($705.92 million), up 4%.

The Europe, Middle East, Asia and Pacific segment recorded a 12% fall in pre-tax operating earnings to $US15.21 million ($16.96 million) as claims management from the 2011 Thai floods started to wind down.

Operating earnings from the Americas increased to $US7.64 million ($8.52 million) from $US895,000 ($997,700).
