Chubb appoints international property and casualty president

Chubb has appointed Mark Homan as Division President for its international property and casualty operations, effective from next month, and named Adam Mason as Executive Vice President, Casualty for Overseas General Insurance.

Mr Homan, who currently services as COO for the division, will take over his new role from Timothy O’Donnell, who will retire after 20 years of service.

“Mark is an experienced underwriter with deep international experience,” Chubb Executive Vice President and President Overseas General Insurance Juan Luis Ortega said.

“Over the past 12 years at Chubb, he has successfully led our casualty business, helping to drive growth that has positioned Chubb as a market leader in one of our largest international P&C businesses. Mark has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful and effective approach to managing and expanding our business, from casualty to other P&C lines.”

Mr Mason, who joined the company, then named Ace, in 2002, has been promoted from his current role as Deputy Head of Casualty for the overseas business. He has more than 30 years’ industry experience.
