CFO reveals a fascination with dancing
Maybe he had a lot to celebrate after his company escaped having to pay double for the loss of the World Trade Centre Towers. Maybe he believes his reputation isn’t worth as much as $40,000. Whatever, Swiss Re Americas division CFO Mitchell Blaser can hardly be impressing his famously staid bosses back in Zurich.
Mr Blaser, 53, is suing a Manhattan strip club after it hit him with a bill for $40,000. He says the management at the Scores club added bogus charges to his American Express bill, which he claims should have been in the region of $2000.
The club claims Mr Blaser, a former Marsh Inc CFO, partied hard with two companions, buying five bottles of champagne at $US4575 a pop and spending $US10,000 on $28 lap dances.
The mind boggles. So did Mr Blaser when he got the bill. His lawyer says the club banked on the notion that his client would be too embarrassed to pursue the matter in court. Stay tuned.
