BIBA TV gets switched on
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched its own “television channel” on YouTube.
Five episodes of the “Challenge BIBA” series, featuring important issues for brokers, are now available on YouTube, with nine more episodes to follow.
BIBA Communications Manager Leighann Burtrand told insuranceNEWS.com.au the initiative is intended to “trial new ways to communicate with members and non-members in a way that supplements our traditional communications channels”.
“We have seen an increase in the use of social media and we are now looking to see how we can use this to raise BIBA’s profile further.”
He says the channel has received 676 views and the videos have received 441 views in the first five days.
Issues covered include the cost of regulation and regulatory fees, the future of broker regulation, how European issues affect members and member representation.
