The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched a “Find a Broker” mobile application for the iPhone and iPad.

Customers can use the app to search for BIBA members by town, postcode or current location. They can then call or email brokers or get directions from Google maps.

BIBA already has a telephone helpline and online search function that collectively receive more than 400,000 enquiries a year.

An Android mobile version will follow.

In Australia, National Insurance Brokers Association CEO Dallas Booth told insuranceNEWS.com.au the association will consider all forms of media while thinking about how best to promote insurance brokers.
