BIBA announces new CEO

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has appointed Steve White as CEO.

He is currently Head of Compliance and Training at the association, and will take up his new role from May 1.

“Our search for the right leader… has been extensive, and to have someone who is both respected and known well by our members is particularly pleasing,” BIBA Chairman Andy Homer said.

Mr White joined BIBA in 2004. He has 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, working for Guardian Royal Exchange Group, the General Insurance Standards Council and the Financial Services Authority.

He will replace Eric Galbraith, who is retiring after 10 years in the job.

“Steve really cares about BIBA and how we get better in representing members, and it is a pleasure to hand over the reins to him,” Mr Galbraith said.
