The Bermuda insurance market is in good health despite the softening market, says AM Best.

The ratings agency says Bermuda insurers delivered strong results over the past two years after enduring a difficult period of hurricane-related losses, posting an overall combined ratio of 82.9% last year.

AM Best has maintained its stable ratings outlook for Bermudian insurers and reinsurers despite deteriorating margins, citing their fundamental financial strength.
