Trade credit insurer Atradius has extended its trade credit insurance partnership with Tokio Marine to four more Asian countries.

The agreement now includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Atradius MD for Australia and NZ David Huey says the expanded coverage will benefit local exporters.

“Our Australian clients exporting into Asia make up about half of our customer base,” he said. “From our offices in Australia and Asia we cover billions of dollars worth of products and services into the region and we now have local capabilities in virtually every major market in the region.”

Since 2007, the insurer has experienced average year-on-year growth in Asia of more than 25%.
