Aon reports revenue growth

Organic growth and client retention across Aon’s global operations resulted in a revenue increase of $US126 million ($177.63 million) in the third quarter.

Total revenue was $US2.3 billion ($3.24 billion).

Commercial risk and reinsurance were the standout operations, with 8% growth in both lines, driven by double-digit growth in the US and Latin America.

Aon says its cyber-solutions unit is doing well, driven by increasing client demand. It has launched a “silent cyber” product in response to growing cyber risk and regulations, supported by analytics and a reinsurance solution.

Aon reported $US97 million ($136.74 million) of restructuring expenses in the quarter.

The initiative is expected to generate $US450 million ($634.38 million) a year in savings by next year.
