Aon President set to appoint regional CEOs

Aon’s Eric Andersen has been confirmed as the global firm’s sole president, taking up an expanded role that will include the appointment of regional CEOs as part of leadership structure changes.

Mr Andersen has previously served as co-president with Michael O’Connor, who Aon says has decided to pursue other opportunities after 12 years with the firm.

Regional CEOs will be appointed for North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific as part of an “Aon United” strategy to make it easier for separate parts of the group to work together.

“Our colleagues are experiencing the client value that comes with working together more closely across solution lines and geographies and I am committed to building on that momentum,” Mr Andersen said.

He will take on reporting responsibility for global solution line leaders and the new regional CEOs.

Aon also says John Bruno will take on the role of COO and will continue as CEO of Data & Analytic Services, which now includes responsibility for technology-enabled Affinity offerings. Liam Caffrey, CEO of Affinity, is departing the firm.

There is no change at Aon Australia, where James Baum is CEO, a local spokesperson told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
