Aon in talks with US attorneys-general
Aon Corporation is the latest US broker to have its operations overhauled as a result of a visit by New York Attorney-General Eliot Spitzer. This time he’s joined forces with the attorney-generals of Connecticut and Illinois to look into the way Aon conducts its broking business.
Aon has been treading carefully since October last year when Mr Spitzer sued Marsh. Aon immediately dropped highly lucrative contingent commission arrangements with insurers.
