Aon has reported revenue of $US2.7 billion ($2.6 billion) for the quarter to September 30, up 1% on the corresponding period last year.

Risk solutions revenue was flat at $US1.8 billion ($1.73 billion) and its unadjusted risk solutions margin was 17.4%.

Retail revenues in the risk solutions business were flat at $US1.39 billion ($1.34 billion), while reinsurance revenue was $US377 million ($364.19 million), up 3%.

Human resources (HR) solutions revenue increased 1% to $US971 million ($937.7 million), while internal organic revenue in the business grew 4%.

In the HR solutions business, consulting services revenues were $US394 million ($380.63 million), down 2%, with outsourcing revenues at $US585 million ($565.14 million), up 5%.

At the end of September the group had net assets of $US8.36 billion ($8.07 billion), up 2.9% on a year earlier.
