Aon financial chief to retire, CEO wins contract extension
Aon CFO and EVP Christa Davies will retire next year after more than 16 years with the global broker and risk management services provider.
She will continue into the third quarter after certifying second-quarter results, then become a senior adviser to the business to assist with the transition, Aon says.
The company has activated its succession planning process to fill the CFO role.
Aon also says its board has approved a two-year extension of CEO Greg Case’s contract to April 1 2028.
Australian Ms Davies is a graduate in aerospace engineering from the University of Queensland and, as a Fulbright Scholar, earned an MBA from Harvard University, according to Aon’s website.
She joined Aon in November 2007 as EVP global finance and became CFO in March 2008.
She oversees global financial operations and has helped manage the company’s two largest mergers – Benfield Group in 2008 and Hewitt Associates in 2010 – plus the relocation of Aon’s headquarters to London in 2012.
Before joining Aon, she worked for Microsoft from 2002 to 2007, including as CFO of the platform and services division.
